The Oakland Raiders kicked off their 2004 pre-season by toasting the 49ers on a last-second field goal. Robert McEvily, a fan of the team and a former mathematical wunderkind, was psyched. "Once I saw 33-30, and I saw 'Raiders' next to '33,' I knew they won," said McEvily. "I'm a former mathematical wunderkind."
